Lynworth Hall is a unique little "village Hall" right in Lynworth, Cheltenham. It's just off the walkway between Prestbury Road and Mendip Road.

Lynworth Hall has been a venue for functions, community activities and church services for over 60 years. In recent years much restoration work has been done on the building providing it with a stage, a convenient kitchen, modern toilet area, a "nursery" room and disabled access.

Lynworth Hall is surrounded by a regularly maintained garden with space for outdoor activities. The garden is available for picnics, BBQs or a bouncy castle in the summer months (May to September inclusive).

Hall room hire

Our small but characterful "Village Hall" comes complete with kitchen and disabled access. It is ideal for local community meetings and hobby or keep-fit activities on weekdays or week-nights. The maximum capacity is 40 including supervising adults. The dimensions of the main room: 5.7m wide by 12.4m long including the raised stage area.

We welcome clubs and activity groups. We take bookings from clubs and activity groups for regular use sessions. A session can be morning, afternoon or evening. Please check availability on our "Hire Availability" page.

Party bookings are generally accepted for Saturdays only but enquiries for other days are welcomed. Children's parties must be sufficiently supervised.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced venue to hire in Cheltenham for your meeting or activity in the Prestbury, Lynworth or Whaddon area our hall may well suit you. The price of our hall hire is very reasonable and the location is very handy.

Catering facility

Lynworth Hall kitchen has crockery, cutlery and tea making facilities. There is also a good size combination microwave. Of course, you'll need to do the washing up as part of the clear up and we ask that you take home any rubbish from the party as we don't get a garbage collection at the hall.

Late evening restriction

Lynworth Hall is in close proximity to a residence for senior citizens. In the daytime this does not affect or restrict use of the building or its grounds. However, it does mean that evening events are restricted to an end time of 10 pm in order to avoid departing people disturbing the neighbours.

At all times it is requested that people arriving or departing from the property are mindful of the neighbours and thus prevent any disturbance occurring.

Parking

Access to Lynworth Hall is via a short access road off Mendip Road. Parking for up to 6 cars is possible in the access road. Parking in the access road requires some care so as not to prevent other vehicles reaching Hannah Boote House and the reserved parking area for its residents. Further cars can be parked in Mendip Road.
